Branch volunteers raised £592 at Tesco in Abingdon in late September - a record for recent times.

Chair Dave Thompson said: "Footfall at Abingdon is always non-stop and I'd hope we can get back there a couple of times next year."

Total takings for 2025 are now in sight of £5K and the hope is to touch £6K for 2025., come year-end.

Abingdon's result was boosted by the sale of several pieces of quality knit-wear, the work of supporter Helen Benton. "The items were much admired," said Dave.
