BOXES BOOST FLYING START

Branch volunteers raised £529 at Tesco in Abingdon in mid-February and with around £82 from collection boxes collated recently by Adrian Pitts we now stand at just under £1.2K for the year- after only seven weeks.

Chair Dave Thompson said: "Tesco, Abingdon is always very busy and that's the second time in a row we've hit the £500 mark there. Next up is a double header at Tesco in Faringdon on March 21 and 22 for which we're already fully rota-ed.

"So thanks once more to all and in particular Stephen Flint, Roger Battley and Adrian for all extra efforts and time recently."

Adrian's box collections included just under £60 from Aldens Fishmarket at Ferry Mills in Osney Mead, Oxford and Adrian is now in touch with its co-business Aldens Meatmaster, also at Osney Mead.
