A weekend by Tesco in Faringdon in March raised £600 (£403 on the Saturday and £197 on Sunday when the store is only open 10-4) taking the branch to around £1.8K for the year.

It follows February's successful day by Tesco in Abingdon which made £529. Chair Dave Thompson says: "Thanks to all for so much support. Tesco footfall is always fantastic wherever you go and we're hoping to get permission for Cowley in Oxford in May."
