A weekend by Tesco in Faringdon in March raised £600 (£403 on the Saturday and £197 on Sunday when the store is only open 10-4) taking the branch to around £1.8K for the year.
It follows February's successful day by Tesco in Abingdon which made £529. Chair Dave Thompson says: "Thanks to all for so much support. Tesco footfall is always fantastic wherever you go and we're hoping to get permission for Cowley in Oxford in May."

BOXES BOOST FLYING START
Branch volunteers raised £529 at Tesco in Abingdon in mid-February and with around £82 from collection boxes collated recently by Adrian Pitts we now stand at just under £1.2K for the year- after only seven weeks.
