May 31 proved a big day with the branch's Mayday Mile a Day Challenge closing on £1,023 and our stall on debut at Tesco in Cowley, Oxford making £533.

Chair Dave Thompson said: "Two great results and we're now well over £3.5 K for the year with plenty of events in the pipeline."

The Mayday Challenge exceeded its £1K target two thirds of the way though the month and remains open for giving for another week or so. See: RNLI - Fearless Faringdon

Many thanks to Helen Benton who spotted the challenge in the first place and raised a large part of the money, walking most days despite recent health issues.

Our first ever stall at Tesco at Cowley proved a big winner too with much footfall all day long.

Next up on June 20/21 is Blenheim Palace Flower Show where we're running the drop and shop marquee with visitors can leaver their purchases behind for a time while they go and visit the palace and its grounds or take lunch.
